NEB GPA to Percentage Calculator
Convert the GPA on your NEB Grade 12 marksheet into an estimated percentage
Type the GPA from your marksheet and press Calculate Percentage. The result is an estimate worked out from the percentage bands published with the NEB letter-grading rules, and the page always shows which formula produced it.
Estimated result - not an official NEB conversion. NEB publishes percentage ranges for grading marks, not a formula for converting a GPA back into a percentage, so this figure is a calculated estimate and can differ from your marksheet.

Your marksheet, your transcript and any conversion issued by NEB or by a college are the official record. The percentage shown here may not match a percentage printed on an official marksheet, and an institution may apply its own rule when it asks you for a percentage.
How this percentage is estimated
The NEB letter-grading rules published with the Grade 11 and 12 results give each grade point a range of marks: grade point 4.0 covers 90% and above, 3.6 covers 80% up to 90%, 3.2 covers 70% up to 80%, and so on down to 1.2 at 20% up to 30%. Those ranges describe how marks become grades. They are not a formula for turning a GPA back into a percentage, and NEB does not publish one.
So this page reads your GPA against those published ranges. It finds the two ranges your GPA falls between and works out the percentage proportionally, then names the two ranges it used so you can check the working yourself. A GPA of exactly 4.0 lands on 90%, because 90% is where the highest range starts.
Two shortcuts are common on the internet: multiplying the GPA by 25, or treating the scale maximum as 100% so that 4.0 becomes 100%. Neither is an official NEB conversion. Your administrator can switch this page to either of them under Settings, and the page then says so on every result.

GPA to percentage - frequently asked questions
The questions students ask most often about converting an NEB GPA into a percentage.
No. NEB publishes the percentage range each letter grade and grade point covers, but it does not publish a formula that converts a GPA back into a percentage. Multiplying the GPA by 25 is a widely repeated shortcut, and it is not an official NEB conversion. This page only uses it if the site administrator selects it, and then it is labelled as an unofficial estimate.
It places your GPA between the two published percentage ranges that bracket it and works out the percentage proportionally between them. The result panel names the two ranges that were used, so you can follow the arithmetic.
Because 90% is the point where the highest published range begins: grade point 4.0 covers 90% and above. A GPA of 4.0 shows that you are in the top range; it does not mean 100% of the marks.
Multiplying by 25 assumes the scale maximum equals 100% and that the conversion is a straight line. The published ranges are not evenly spread, and the mapping from marks to grades is not linear, so the two methods disagree. Ask the college or board that wants the percentage which rule it accepts.
The site administrator sets the scale. This site is configured for the NEB 4.0 GPA scale, and values above the scale maximum are rejected rather than turned into a percentage.
Only the institution can answer that. Many ask for the marksheet itself or apply their own conversion. Use this page to understand roughly where you stand, then confirm the requirement with the college.
The NEB grading directive sets minimum grades per subject and per component for the certificate, and the aggregate expectation is usually described in the result notices of your year. Check the current NEB notice for the exact figure that applies to you.
No. The whole calculation runs in your browser and the page makes no request to any other service. No account is needed and nothing you type is stored on this website.
